Pool tile cleaning · The Woodlands, TX The Woodlands, under the pines.
Wooded lots, glass-tile spas and a water supply that blends Lake Conroe surface water with deep groundwater make pools in The Woodlands a little different.
The water in The Woodlands
Why The Woodlands tile scales up
The San Jacinto River Authority's Woodlands Division supplies the community from wells in the Evangeline and Jasper aquifers, some drilled as deep as 1,700 feet, blended with surface water from Lake Conroe that's treated at SJRA's surface water plant.
Blended water is still mineral-bearing, and evaporation does the rest. In The Woodlands, the white line often shows up as a thin, chalky band on glass tile that slowly thickens into rough scale if it's left alone.

What we see locally
Pools around The Woodlands
The Woodlands is known for its tree canopy, and pine needles and oak leaves are hard on pools. Before a tile cleaning, the pool has to be clean, clear and free of debris, so schedule your regular cleaning a day or two before we come.
Many pools here have iridescent or glass mosaic waterline tile and raised spas with spillovers. Glass tile gets a mineral-based, pH-neutral media instead of silica bead, chosen for glass so the finish isn't hazed.
How it works
Cleaning day
On cleaning day the team lowers the water 6 to 12 inches below the tile line (the pool is never drained), removes the calcium with bead or media blasting matched to your tile, and vacuums the media out with our own pumps. Most pools take 2 to 4 hours. Quotes come from your photos and a phone call, and the price we quote is the price you pay.
Neighborhoods we serve include Alden Bridge, Sterling Ridge, Creekside Park, Cochran's Crossing, Panther Creek, Grogan's Mill, Indian Springs and College Park.
Questions
Good to know
Is media blasting safe for the glass tile common in The Woodlands?
Yes. Glass tile gets a mineral-based media that is pH-neutral, chosen for glass, and we always start with a test spot.
Pine needles are always in my pool. Is that a problem?
The pool needs to be clean and free of debris when we arrive, because leaves and needles clog our pumps. A cleaning a day or two before is ideal.
Do you serve Creekside Park on the Harris County side?
Yes. We serve every village in The Woodlands, on both sides of the county line.
